Gold Coast pick 27

Post: # 2036788Post B.M »

Apparently trying to package up pick 40 and a future 3rd for pick 27

Good move if they can get that done

Hope so.

Is that the pick we got for Billings?

would 40 move up into the 30s with the late academy picks or am I ill informed.
If that is the case it might not be such a great deal.

No

Not the pick we got for Billings - we got a packet of twisties and his paying his income

It was our original pick 35 which we traded out with Coffield to get 40 and Dow.

What do you think about the Billings deal BM?

Hasn’t pick trading finished to be resumed on draft night?

Doesn’t make a lot of sense unless there is a player who slides that we really like on draft night and go for it then.

We can trade picks from trade week until the draft closes.
We can pick up delisted free agents too.

This article appears to indicate trade window for picks closed on 10/11/23, and reopens draft night as live trades.

Fair enough.
The last part of this, from the same source, seems to differ.

Those windows are really about when trades get processed moreso than when they are negotiated

Most on here read the same article in Cal Twomey's phantom draft.

TRADES COMPLETED DURING 2023 AFL DRAFT

1. St Kilda gets pick 42. Melbourne gets a future third.

2. Brisbane gets pick 24. Gold Coast gets picks 30, 51, 54, and 65.

3. St Kilda gets pick 27. Gold Coast gets picks 40 and 42.

4. Fremantle gets pick 38. Gold Coast gets picks 46, 60 and 63.

Season 2024 is where RTB is showing the footy world his grasp of the modern game.

None of this trading makes sense to me .
I mean who the for Huck can keep track of all the current and future trades .
How did our pick 13 turn into pick 18

Because of the northern academies.
They should be on the same rules as the Melbourne teams NGA
