So an away game against the Pies at the MCG - but we get the gate receipts (or however it works).
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Should get 80,000+ at that one. Great bank for the club. Our younger players will love the occasion.Jacks Back wrote: ↑Thu 02 Nov 2023 6:51am So an away game against the Pies at the MCG - but we get the gate receipts (or however it works).

I don't mind that at all. The Essendon game last year was great too.
From a financial perspective the AFL ensures it all evens out, but I'd rather play some more MCG games.
IMO teams shouldn't have Marvel or MCG as a home ground, but be fixtured to suit crowds.

We got 40,000+ three times at Marvel Stadium last year. And we got 30+ against Dogs, Richmond and Hawthorn (for our home game).
28,000 against Port was good too.
We played in front of 3 60,000+ crowds at the MCG as well.
It looks like the crowds are coming back.
