our SC position is likely very good for us.
I suspect we're paying the minimum 95% and that includes some cash we're putting towards Billings.
Holds us in a good position to be aggressive this time next year and also to retain whomever we would like to.
Players out of contract next year who might be of interest.
Lipinski
Caldwell
Sean Darcy
Max Holmes
Ben King
Aaron Cadman
Tom Sparrow
Tarryn Thomas
Dursma
James Rowbottom
Ugle-Hagan
Tim English
If we manage to compete, make the 8 this year and develop our current list we're in the box seat to make some pretty exciting moves next year.

We wontt be in the market for cherry on top types next year.nostalgicsaint wrote: ↑Wed 18 Oct 2023 10:08pm our SC position is likely very good for us.

At least 2 to 3 years away is my best guess.
Have to keep going to the draft as our core list build strategy for a few more years.

Not suggesting we chase the 29 year old cherry on top.Vortex wrote: ↑Wed 18 Oct 2023 10:38pmWe wontt be in the market for cherry on top types next year.nostalgicsaint wrote: ↑Wed 18 Oct 2023 10:08pm our SC position is likely very good for us.

But players like
Max Holmes
James Rowbottom
Ben King
Jye Caldwell
Have long very successful careers ahead of them. Worth considering.
1st round draft picks are not guaranteed to be successful- just look at the amount of former top 10 draft picks traded this year alone. I'd take any of the 4 above if all we had to give up was draft capital and salary cap space.
