Re: Steel vs Cripps
Strange question.
As much as we love Steele and he often does well h2h with cripps.
You're talking about a brownlow medal winner vs a non winner.

Re: Steel vs Cripps
Both have dicky shoulders.
Both give everything for their side.
Both have seen coaches come and go.
Cripps has two working ankles.
Carlton supporters don't bag their captain.

Re: Steel vs Cripps
Difficult to evaluate without trying to compare each player...especially after your Headline
Cripps was outstanding in two finals. Average in the prelim this year. He's a superstar of the game
Cripps could have easily won two Brownlows in my opinion. He won Charlie in 2022 after a brilliant individual year, but his team didn't make finals last year.
Jack Steele hasn't been as inspirational this year as he was in 2020 and 2021. In those years he was to us what Cripps has been for the Blues.
Both have played in a huge number of games under duress. We know Cripps has had injuries including possible broken ribs. Steele has had ankle and knee problems and ..who could forget when he finished a game against Geelong with a broken collarbone.

Re: Steel vs Cripps
Would be good if you learnt how to spell our captain's surname. You don't have to memorise all the players names, just take a minute to check the spelling before you post
Seriously...ffs!!

Steele second to the ball too much so he can lay a tackle.Scollop wrote: ↑Mon 25 Sep 2023 9:22pm Difficult to evaluate without trying to compare each player...especially after your Headline

High tackling stats as a midfielder can be overrated if you arent lighting it up towards goal as well.
Got a feeling Lyon will challenge Steele to work on that side of his game.

Steele is a star, but has had a down year.
Cripps is ahead of him.

All posters are equal, but some posters are more equal than others.
