I do hope that Dougie's for sale.

Re: Dougle on the market article
Here's this weeks conspiracy theory, Dougal didn't need surgery until the end of the season, but he's on the list to be traded. We wanted to see how we'd go without him so we could get a feel for how important he is.

Re: Dougle on the market article
Not a bad shout.
RTB has played up the ‘importance’ of him in press conferences as well.
Cordy is limited too, but at least at times he uses his body as a battering ram as a big man should.

Re: Dougle on the market article
We'll see, Cordy has been very good so far. but the same ppl putting Cordy on a pedestal will probably be asking for his neck on the chopping block once the opposition find some weaknesses in his game. Nothing wrong with talking about trade options but Dougal has saved our bacon more times than those wearing blinkers remember, it seems.

Re: Dougle on the market article
I reckon Cordy is more to Ross's liking because he's more willing to play the percentages than Doug. Zaine isn't particularly attacking, which doesn't really faze Ross, given his loyalty to Zac Dawson and the like.
My hope is that Van Es can develop into something substantial. Intercepting key backs are worth their weight in premierships. Hopefully he can become that, though I know very little about the kid.

Van Es has absolutely struggled this season
He’s got 1 more year to impress at VFL level
Adams should be gone

Re: Dougle on the market article
Was this the first season out of the 18's for Van Es & the 2nd for Adams?
I would think, hope, one if not both will get more opportunities to make it with St Kilda.
Too easy to write key position kids off it seems.

Re: Dougle on the market article
Both have a long way to go - even at VFL level
Compare that to a Hall, Hudghton, Maguire, Fisher,
They all showed really positive signs year 1
I was really happy we drafted Van Es
But not at all impressed watching him train or play
Hopefully he turns it around
