Changes this week
For the first time this year i actually think there are a few options. Obviously training tomorrow will determine fitness of a few however it makes for some tough decisions.
Hill, King, Membrey, Hayes, Coffield all seem likely options.
Firstly looking at Carlton -
Forward they have Curnow, DeKoning as primary bigs with McKay out. Therefore the need for a 3rd big tall probably isn't there. Webster got found out by Bruest last week as defending the 3rd marking tall but Carlton doesn't seem to have this.
We possibly have the ability to stretch them at the other end with Wetering, McGovern and Marchbank.
Decisions to make : - Membrey v Caminiti v Sharman - can only have 2 . Membrey extremely important and very under appreciated IMO by some, however does him and King both coming in off breaks cause an issue. He does love playing Carlton Though.
For me :
In: King, Hill
Out: Cordy, Jones,
Sub : Phillipou or Byrnes
Extended Bench : Hayes, Membrey, Coffield

Carlton game earlier this year was Membrey's first game back and he was immense as an outlet marking option in the 2nd quarter before fading after half time.
Go you red, black & white warriors
Re: Changes this week
Jones out, but looking at the game last week if we picked on form, then Webster's position would be a bit dodgy- for an experienced defender, he lost his opponent too much in the traffic. Maybe Pou out, though he shows great potential, I reckon he is not having enough impact yet. A tricky night for selection

Webster had a shocker last game. But has had a good season.

Re: Changes this week
Conversely Carlton are missing a few of their top 5-6 players. Absolutely should be considering ourselves a massive chance to win this game

Re: Changes this week
Is it my imagination but do Carlton look a little short and potentially vulnerable down back?

I hope not but that will be the selection panel's decision after tomorrow's training session.Ghost Like wrote: ↑Thu 03 Aug 2023 7:46pm I suspect Stocker to be the sub & Max to make the final cut.

Re: Changes this week
Who goes to Curnow?
He's a big threat, and our defenders have to be on their game- as well as our mids needing to put pressure on oppo entries.
Stop them putting ball onto a cheat's chest

Better not rush Max back in, he needs some time in VFL to get used to getting physical.Ghost Like wrote: ↑Thu 03 Aug 2023 7:46pm I suspect Stocker to be the sub & Max to make the final cut.
Stocker deserves his spot

Re: Changes this week
Interesting is the 8 named as Interchange
From that 8 we get the 4 on the Interchange bench plus the Emergency
So 3 will miss out
Which 3?
