Structural change option

Post: # 2020947Post older saint »

Clearly our forward line isn't working and King and Membrey are a little way off at the moment.

This week i think either one of Battle or Howard need to play forward -Probably Battle as more easier to replace in the back line than Howard due to size.

If Battle was to play forward could bring in either Highmore or Cordy (if fit) as a replacement.
While not a long term solution clearly what we have available with the cattle we have the current structure isn't working and bringing in another rookie who isnt smahing it as a forward at Sandy isn't the answer either.

Potential line up

B: Stoker , Howard, Wilkie
HB Webster, Highmore/Cordy, NWM
C: Hill , Crouch, Byrnes
HF: Sharman , Battle, Higgins
F: Butler, Caminiti, Gresham
Foll: Marshall, Steele, Sinclair
Int: Clark, Jones, Windy, Clark

Sub : Bytel

in : Highmore/Cordy, Higgins
Out: Peris, Pho ( rested)

others under pressure: Stoker, Brynes, Caminiti

Not many options to come in - Paton.

Hayes needs more than 1 Sandy gaem after 15 mths out surely

If J.Battle can't turn himself into a forward I think his days are numbered.
I think Hill, Butler, Stocker, Byrnes, Jones, and Gresham's days as first team regulars are also numbered in the low 50s.

I actually think he has been ok as a third defender/ intercept defender - had better season than Howard, but probably the easiest to replace also.

Will be interesting to see if they change up much .

Rather than push Battle forward and replace him with Cordy, why not simply put Cordy back in the forward line (if he has recovered from his concussion)? Nobody can deny that we went much better when he was playing there.

Edited for accuracy

Because good forwards dine out on Josh?
(Not suggesting Mr Cordy is the answer. )
