Re: Dew getting sacked?
pampered
THat's my guess
The Gold Coast players are on a remit - to promote AFL footy. (in other words, junket city)
For every visit to a Primary school they probably get a trillion gift vouchers and free memberships to spas, massage saunas, golf courses and who know what.
Free hot dogs from Broad Beach caravan parked at beach etc.
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Listen to the Jimmy and Eddie podcast (it is actually the other way around, I just don't wanna give Eddie first place)
Eddie makes it perfectly clear that being Dew being 'large' was bad for Gold Coast....my jaw dropped....(for a hot dog)

Re: Dew getting sacked?
From memory every Suns president has been a tosser.
Wealthy and stuck up, but the butler can't win games for you.
Needs actual passion and industry knowledge.
Goodness knows what the business case is for keeping the Suns propped up. Although I'm sure PwC could knock one up in a hurry.
Blight's involvement was (is?) underwhelming adding to my theory the Adelaide premierships were despite him.
Always hoped McKenna would get a chance on Open Mike to discuss his views.

Won't matter.
If we play like we have been since the bye we'll beat them.

Look at Eddie McQuire for the babble that generates the steam and hype this week. Saying its all bad luck for Dew, he is too fat, and that the Gold Coast and Cochrane is a champ...'Should build him a statue'...I like the way Cochrane talks. Who can't be impressed by an ugly bald, white guy with a lisp? But he cuts through it all and is very charismatic IMO. Nevertheless, the case remains. Charisma aside. As someone has said. GC is a plastic club. It has not a single bone in the body of Aussie footy and soul. It is purely an empirically generated logarithm - a toothpaste. God knows, the area was once beautiful. I think it is probably on its way to be a petrol-points Texas.

Re: Dew getting sacked?
Heard something this afternoon from a very good source at Suns. Suns have been in discussions with Ken Hinkley’s management for the past 4 weeks about head coach role.

Re: Dew getting sacked?
I think Hardwick would be better at the Suns than i've won sweet FA Hinkley.
Will we pick up a player in the SSP window

What I heard was senior players were asked about Dew and responded unanimously to move him on and the Suns target for some weeks has been Hinkley.
