Jack Hayes
I'll begin by reminding myself that he has only played a few games for St.Kilda but I am confident that he is type of player we need at half forward presenting and squaring up the intercept defenders.
He is big and strong and won't be pushed around and he is a contested possession footballer.
He is also handy following the ball and he will take huge pressure off Caminiti and Owens, pitching in for Marshall, but he will also make the forward line look bigger, as the head of the target, at high half forward and he will provide an avenue for fast attack in congested areas. His follow-up efforts and groundball skills are outstanding for his size. He will bring the confidence the younger guys around him up a notch.
The sooner he is ready the better.

Re: Jack Hayes
He's coming off an over 1 year knee injury. Fingers crossed, got through the game on the weekend that's one step.
Re: Jack Hayes
My mate went to the game at Sandy the other day, and tells me Hayes looks pretty underdone and not ready for seniors, which is understandable, so maybe he will get a run in a few weeks if his body holds up.

Re: Jack Hayes
They'll have match sim at training on Thursday, they usually always do at the T2 training session.
I'll be there watching it.
Will we pick up a player in the SSP window

Re: Jack Hayes
Highest risk of injury is usually the week after return.
He’ll get an extended recovery period after a his first big work out.
This might actually be quite a positive

Re: Jack Hayes
Yes i went but i didn't see anything that gave me great confidence for the game against the Gold Coast.
The bit that i found unfortunately amusing was during match sim the Key Forwards were having a go at players up the field for just bombing the ball in rather than trying to honour leads.
It was like they train as they play.
They way they use the Sandy Saints players is interesting, they are involved as a complete group, then they get taken out to work as a Sandy group with Batch whilst the rest of the
Saints players do a match sim, then they all stop for a drink, RTB has a discussion with them, then match sim resumes with everyone involved.
After watching today i would say Hayes is still building towards a return.
Adams seems to have a knee issue, his knee was strapped and he worked with the S and C guys.
Connolly was running laps.
Membrey was doing conditioning work.
Seb was doing laps, no rest for him, even after just doing his hamstring, when he stops jogging he has an obvious limp.
Coffield is in full training.
