Whipping boys
I thought Byrnes was good, tried to take the game on
Billings great apart from missing that open goal, nice little tap to Gresham in first quarter won’t appear in the stats.
Gresham could take some lessons in unselfishness!
Howard more good than bad, he just shouldn’t stop and think just do the Seb thing and throw it on the boot pronto.

Re: Whipping boys
We missed the leadership that Seb provides
We also missed the kicking skills of Brad Hill

He was fine.
Just not sure he cops thaw amount of vitriol directed at the other three.

Re: Whipping boys
Am a major critic of Byrnes but had him in the votes tonight. Thought he was very good. Just needs to be smarter with his disposal (like he was tonight) and his efficacy goes up dramaticallywhiskers3614 wrote: ↑Sat 08 Jul 2023 11:45pm I thought Byrnes was good, tried to take the game on

Billings was decent for mine… I hope he can build on that effort and most importantly, stay on the park. Classy user but geeeez he needed to kick that goal.

Re: Whipping boys
Pou was poo, he needs a spell at sandy but, we have limited depth so RTB2 will keep playing him.
The list changes for 2025 have begun, always an interesting time for an avid supporter.

Re: Whipping boys
What’s happened to his kicking, he was a beautiful kick in the earlier games
Now when he gets it, I close my eyes!
Hopefully it’s just a fatigue thing and another preseason will have him more prepared for the rigours of AF.
He’s been played on starvation corner every game and would benefit from a run on the ball in the scoobies for a few weeks to get his confidence back.

Re: Whipping boys
No problem with Byrnes taking the game on but most of the time he is still a headless chook

Re: Whipping boys
At some stage Max is going to get on the Whipping boy list. Both the King boys are struggling to deliver value for money and possibly a little overhyped at this stage. We play our best footy since round 4 last night and Ben was subbed out of his game. Max seems incredibly injury prone, can you build a team around a player that can't stay on the park?
