Saints v brisbane
Do we make any changes?
Possible inclusions
Campbell
Paton
Bytel
Connelly
Peris
With all due respect to above mentioned players , not really much to choose from .Don't believe any of them are better options on what we have out on the park atm.

Connelly being an emergency says it all about our current depth.

Caminiti to Sandy, give Sharman a full game. Steele or Ross to sub and bring in Bytel. Howard only plays against monster forwards and try Heath at fullback for Sandy, has the height and is harder at it than Howard. Highmore could also be a chance against shorter forwards. Paton had good stats in the VFL but a lot were from kick ins and rarely to advantage.

if we turn the ball over with poor kicking like we did last night the lions will tear us a new one.

Re: Saints v brisbane
Who is the chap fortunate enough to be assigned Charlie C. Howard to Hipworth, who can also be flaky? means poor Wilks gets Daniher, would need a step ladder. Perhaps Sharman's leap could upset Joe's rhythm. Battle on......BadRossco wrote: ↑Sun 18 Jun 2023 5:58pm Caminiti to Sandy, give Sharman a full game. Steele or Ross to sub and bring in Bytel. Match ups don't look good for us. Lucky we are well coached, it will take a bit of genius and a remarkable uptick in skill.

Re: Saints v brisbane
Howard must play & should pick up Daniher, both in horrible form so one will play the other into form.
Battle to likely pick up Hipworth as Hipworth moves up the ground a fair bit.
Wilkie to Fort & hopefully be able to peel off to intercept or 3rd man up.
Paton to Cameron
Webster to Rayner
Byrnes to Sandy
NWM to the wing

Yep Byrnes needs to go
Ross v lucky
I’d give Bytel a shot
Love to reward Highmore…match up the problem

Re: Saints v brisbane
Is this a 'prediction' thread?
Ok...
Goals King 3, Higgo 3
Marks Wilkie 8
Disposals Crouch 30
Final Margin Minus 18
I was close with the Tigers game, I said '18 pts Tigers win'

Re: Saints v brisbane
I have asked several times here what Bytel offers above Ross.
Seeing how bad Ross is over the past month, Bytel must really be lacking something.
And Ryan Byrnes?
Paton got 34 at Sandy.

Re: Saints v brisbane
Must have a watched a different game to many on Saturday night
Under the roof at Marvel a very different game
Howard under the most pressure IMo as has been poor for a while now. Cordy the obvious replacement orn Highmore if decide to go slightly smaller.
Brynes run is important . Yes wasn't great last game but who that comes in provides that? Paton doesn't and is a different type player. Perhaps Connolly could do that role, but that is about it.
Talk of Sharman for Caminiti comes down to do you want to play with 1 or 2 talls. Sharman is a medium size forward. Shown glimpses but, through no fault of his own, clearly the most overrated player by fans on our list. seems to sit for some between the next coming of George Young or the return of Con Gorozidias

Howard is the matchup for Daniher. Will have to put form and pride aside for this game.
I actually think Cordy up forward may help our issues with intercept marking defenders.

Re: Saints v brisbane
Caminiti needs a rest. Steele is playing on one leg. Gresham is out of form. Byrnes had a low impact game. Howard should be dropped if we had a replacement. They are all changes that should be made but we simply dont have the depth to change things too much.
Bring in Paton and move Sinclair to a full time midfield role. Move Ross to Byrnes wing, Sharman to replace Caminiti. IF RTB is really pissed with Howards game then drop him for Cordy?
Outs: Caminiti (rest), Gresham form, Byrnes (sub)
Ins: Paton, Bytel, Byrnes (sub)
Ps. Otiman above mentioned Cordy playing forward as he did earlier in the year - which is also a good idea to give Caminiti a rest.

More worrying is that this is Spud's Game of which we haven't won one yet and we have a bad habit of playing badly in these type of games.
This game will determine if 2023 is just a carbon copy of 2022.
