People seemed to have missed the real story. Gill gave us a dream draw in both 2022 and 2023, to not only build membership but to act as springboard if we were any good. The previous coach got the best out of a modest list. In 2020, the team was one minute away from a shot at the flag. The jinx struck. Any injury is one too many and we had a few last year. We started with a few this year with another good coaching panel. But injuries got worse. Two of our best players got injuries which have lots of residualism about them. I can't see us winning anymore than 5 games for the rest of year. Worse, it will leave us in a ladder position where we get no great picks. Mind you, the worst decision that Gill allowed was the transfer of JHF to PA - because he was homesick. FM! What next, someone is missing their cat? It basically killed the draft forever. To be fair, the AFL has never really wanted to push it as they know that the current High Court is full of Lib stooges who will rule in favour of restraint of trade.
