St Kilda is a hard side to get into right now, but two Jacks will give Ross Lyon and the match committee inside RSEA Park plenty to think about this week. Jack Billings was eye-catching in his first VFL game of the year, collecting 22 disposals, seven marks and three goals after recovering from a fractured fibula. Jack Bytel amassed 39 disposals and nine clearances to put his hand up for another crack in the AFL. Cooper Sharman was the carryover emergency and didn't play in the VFL, while Tom Campbell gathered 29 hitouts and 19 touches against Carlton's reserves on Sunday to keep his name in contention. – Josh Gabelich

Re: Round 7
I am not impressed by Cordy and would prefer to see Campbell doing part of the ruckwork and letting Marshall spend more time up forward.
But that won't happen because RTB likes Cordy's contribution.
I can't see any reason to bring Billings into the seniors until he proves his fitness like Bytel with 39 disposals.
Billings clearly more skilled but this team is about effort which places Bytel ahead at this point in time.
Billing needs play midfield for Sandringham, not forward, to show his effort.

Re: Round 7
More than once, RTB has praised Cordy for being there for Pou, Hammer and Owens.
I have no idea what he means?
May be a hard adult body+valuable on-field coaching?
But Ross as head coach, and Banger as Fwds coach, know their stuff.
If Cordy's 4 touches plus his extra stuff is enough for them, I'm happy

Re: Round 7
Cordy does seem to gather them round when they go their groups after a goal and seems quite animated in his discussions.WellardSaint wrote: ↑Wed 26 Apr 2023 11:10pm More than once, RTB has praised Cordy for being there for Pou, Hammer and Owens.
