Crouch ????
A few posters have mentioned about Brad Crouch not having a very influential game against Carlton.
I can’t recall if it was late in the second quarter, I noticed he went down in a strong tackle on the half back flank, he took awhile to get up & and even though the play had moved on from him he was walking very gingerly. Later I saw him make a half hearted effort to chase an opponent & I thought he may have still been a bit sore from the previous tackle.
Usually, IMO, the longer a game goes, the more influential Crouch becomes as opposition players begin to tire. In distance swimming & running we call this ‘negative splitting’, your back half of the event is faster, stronger than the first half. This didn’t happened against Carlton & a couple of times he seemed to be laboured in his running.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Crouch ‘managed’ this week if he hasn’t shaken off the effects of that tackle that took the steam out of him last Sunday.

Re: Crouch ????
Crouch is a very good player but the experts on here like to bag him.

Re: Crouch ????
I never realised that, he did seem more subdued after half-time.
Good pick up- nobody mentioned it.
He got 18 touches, well down on his 30+.
Time on ground 76%

Re: Crouch ????
It was close to the boundary at half back flank area. At the time I thought he had done his shoulder or ribs. It was a fair tackle so didn’t get any commentator mention & play went on. So if commentators are not interested, they don’t do any replay and camera moves on quite quickly.WellardSaint wrote: ↑Wed 26 Apr 2023 6:16pm I never realised that, he did seem more subdued after half-time.

Re: Crouch ????
Tony posted as well that he was one of a few of the main mids that had quite a reduced amount of game time compared to usual with the short turn around in mind

Re: Crouch ????
Brad is hurt. Loris made no mention where he can keep his shoes.

Calling the baggers "experts" is being exceptionally kind of you.magnifisaint wrote: ↑Wed 26 Apr 2023 6:05pm Crouch is a very good player but the experts on here like to bag him.
