34 matches St.Kilda 23 wins, Carlton 11 wins.
Let's hope the trend continues.

Re: Saints Blues this century
Last century was full of corruption and brown paper bags. You just worry about today and not yesterday smartarse.

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Hey B.M. you can start a thread about Saints v Blues last century if you are concerned about it.

Re: Saints Blues this century
Up until about 2000 we had only won 15% of our games against Carlton, and even that was after a reasonable decade of matches we won against them circa 1989-99.
Now we have won 27% of our matches against them. It doesn't sound like a huge difference, but I have heard it described as one of the hugest form reversals in the history of professional sport.
For many years from 1978 onwards we were locked down on 27 wins against the Blues, and at one stage in head-to-heads they had won 121 more games against us than we had against them. 121 more - think about that for a minute. If we beat them in our return home game this season, we will bring up the big 6-0, something that Saints supporters back in 2001 probably wouldn't have thought would ever happen.
Before 1993 we had only won 6 away games against Carlton. As of today, we have won 20. Nearly four times as many!
In the twentieth century, and a bit of the nineteeth, we won only 18 games out of 120 against them.
Out of 120 games at Princes Park we had won 14 - but that is against several other teams as well as Carlton.
Until 1989 - our highest score against the Blues was only 114 points, a score they had equaled or bettered against us 37 times. Now it is almost 200 points (a very decent 196 points to be exact). Thankfully, we have now bettered that 114 points scoreline ourselves 14 times.
Before 2003 we had never beaten them by ten goals ever in our history. We have now beaten them by 10 goals plus 6 times, and our top eight biggest wins against them all occurred from 1991 onwards (our greatest victory is now a respectable 108 points).
So, the fact that we have now won 8 of our last 10 and 24 out of our previous 32 matches against Carlton (75%) is an important milestone.
Significantly, we play them again later this season. If we win that, we will have won as many games against them as we have against Collingwood.

Re: Saints Blues this century
It all started when Aaron Hamill came to St Kilda and the Carlton pres John Elliott said something very disparaging about us.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Re: Saints Blues this century
Why not cover all the centuries?
In the 19th century our win ratio vs Carlton was 0.00%
In the 20th century our win ratio vs Carlton was 18.48%
In the 21st century our win ratio vs Carlton is 68.57%
Stick around for the 22nd century, we're on a good trend.

With a win/loss of 4/5 in the books, iRcho's Saints beats Carlton at Marvel, the square the ledger
Richo wins one more game (Gold Coast , 4 pts)
July 20th, 2019
Ratts is in charge and starts a run,
wins against;
Western Bulldogs
Melbourne
Fremantle
and a narrow loss to Adelaide away
August 17th, 2019
Carlton on the rocks
The Saints have arrived
They somehow beat us at the MCG
That is when reality burst the post-Richo bubble...
Damn Calrton
