A couple of our important running players were held last week.
We were clearly outcoached in that regard.

Windhager needs to be deployed this week on their important running player ... I hope we've learned from Naicos getting 40 easy possessions.
He probably can't wait to play against us again.

AFL App shows bench finalised.

Clark
Stocker
Butler
Cordy

Windy has to be sub, is his hand still not 💯😳

When does Butler get dropped to sub?
Surely we're not seeing a return to Newnes/Weller mentality?

Should be Windy in, Butler sub.

Windy was ordinary last week. Didn’t get enough of it and when he did, his disposal was terrible …but he wasn’t on his own there

I was still hoping he’d be named and I think he’s the sort of character that would bounce back and play a good game this week

I think if Windy doesn’t start he should be sub or Jack Bytel as sub

Last night in the Dockers vs Bulldogs I noticed a Dandenong Stingrays boy called Sam Sturt. He reminds me of Cooper Sharman

I still believe we’d be better off with a guy like Sharman in the forward line as the third marking option.

Cooper Sharman is average

Not even good at VFL level

Windhager is playing HHF - do we understand the role and what it entails?

Newnes and Weller, Billings and Gresham play that role

So I guess not?

Wasn't Cooper deemed good at AFL level once?

If Windy was playing HHF, shouldn't he have been on N. Daicos?

I will give you Billings as he has been consigned to that role his career but Gresham has been given a longer chain that he's beginning to strangle himself with.

He had a couple of reasonable games as a forward… then was never played there again.

Sam Sturt is a Peninsula boy, was a vg cricketer.
Has been in WA about 5 seasons as a guess.
Hampered by injury.
I believe we had a crack at him in 2021, I expect Ross to have a look at him at the end of this season.
Mason Wood clone, deadly left foot, good runner and athlete.
Would fit a wing well with size, marking and foot skills.

I don't mind if we get Sam Sturt to play wing as you say and he has to come as a delisted FA. Last night he was playing as a forward wasn't he?

I'd still rather see Sharman get games and be available as back up when we have injuries or suspension. If a guy like Oliver Henry gets a game at Geelong, why wouldn't we play Sharman as the third marking tall?

Cooper is basically the same age as Sturt isn't he?

Ridiculous if we did target Sturt as a forward when we have Sharman.

What is everyone’s obsession with Sharman

He played a couple of good games first up - done FA since

He was a mid season pick up - basically a Hail Mary

He’s to small to play KP
Too slow to play as HF

It’s not an obsession. He’s young in football terms and he has time on his side.

People would have conniptions if Sharman got a game off the back of 7 possessions in the VFL, but isn’t that what happens when most KPF play in the lower leagues https://www.saints.com.au/news/1309588/ ... p-dolphins

Sharman could possibly replace Membrey one day. Not saying he is anywhere near the player that Skunk is right now but I think he’s got strengths and he has upside

I believe he hasn’t been given enough opportunity and I think we were too Max King focused last year (see Nick Riewoldts comments). The reason we’ve had better success so far in 2023 is partly because there isn’t a focus on getting it to one player.

Cammo, Pou, and Owens have been a breath of fresh air.

Sometimes I think we target Higgins too much as well and it’s to the detriment of the team (he pretends to be a tall KPF when he isn’t). I know his team mates love him and he gives a good goal celebration but fmd, I’d love Sharman to replace Higgins for 6-8 weeks and see how that experiment stacks up.

Sharman is the most overrated player in this place since Spencer White.

He's not been given too little a chance given what he has done in his career- arguably he has been given too much!

One thing you have to assume- if he couldn't crack a game when our entire forward line was injured- there is a reason for that and given the strength of our coaching group, likely a good one.

Now, Sharman does have some very good traits, he takes a good mark and can kick the pill between the two big sticks. Outside of that though I've never really seen anything exciting about him? Basically the forward line version of highmore- with the exception that highmore achieves more at a VFL level.

Sharman has shown potential, but has been identified to play a certain role and isn't performing in that role.

Some of that is on Cooper's ability to adapt, but some is on the club for putting a square peg in a round hole.

Odd
Windhager was just avg last week needs to step it up
IF his hand is 100%
