I guess that would be conceivable for one game, as a way of sending Gresham a message: although this will be a rather risky approach in dealing with a free agent who seems to be seriously considering his options. And what do we want Gresham to do about the way he plays? He tries fancy stuff, and it quite often doesn't come off, but when it does it usually means a certain goal, sometimes against the run of play. Nobody seems to be suggesting that he isn't trying hard enough, so that's not the solution. He seems to me to be the sort of player we need in big games: if h'ed had a good one last night, we'd surely have won.
What does that tell you BM. Collingwood arent as good as they thought they were, or we aren't very good?
Ross essentially said he let them. He also said it will be fixed next time.
So judging by your last couple of sentences we were the victors, but they go home with the 4 points
As my friend would say, we always play to win but we are currently in survival mode, due to our 'injury crisis'.Scollop wrote: ↑Mon 17 Apr 2023 4:19pmSo judging by your last couple of sentences we were the victors, but they go home with the 4 points
I haven't had a chance to watch any of the game. Gunna do that now...
Came to the forum to see if there's injuries or news from yesterday's match and I was especially interested to see how Jack Bytel went.
I think he's progressing and the fact that the selection committee were confident in making him the sub, gives me hope that they realise he'll be an important cog in our midfield for many years to come
Jack had a really good preseason and he was raring to go for Round 1. He played his role well in the victory against Freo. It was just unfortunate that he got the infection in the cut to his knee
