Yet the rest of the Indian right hand batting lineup had to face those "average" bowlers too and came back with scores like 20, 23, 7, 12, 8, 8...
While the only two left handers made 70 and 84...
On a pitch that was "doctored" to be "unplayable" for left handers...
Like the philosophical thought experiment "If a tree falls in the forest..." - if a doctored pitch results in no difference due to the doctoring, is it even a doctored pitch??
Also, complaining because home bowlers bowl better in home conditions is ridiculous.
And lastly, Lyon has the most wickets by a visiting spinner in India, and I think the most 5-fors by any bowler against India, so he's not too bad...
All posters are equal, but some posters are more equal than others.

You don't always have to be right. Cheating is something the Indians excel at and a doctored pitch is a doctored pitch, no matter how many times you say it's not.
How many wickets did Lyon get in the first Test?
The pitch that was prepared in an unusual way to counter the left handers in the Australian batting line up.
Didn't a large swag of Lyon's wickets come in one game later on in the series after the desired result had been achieved?
Me: Did Indian doctor pitches for the recent series against Australia?
GPT: As an AI language model, I do not have access to real-time information or current news updates. However, if you could provide me with more specific details or context regarding which Indian doctor you are referring to and what "pitches for the recent series against Australia" means, I would be happy to try and assist you further.
Me: You know what I mean. When I say doctor, I mean Indian ground staff watered selected patches of the wickets they prepared for the recent cricket test series against Australia.
GPT: I understand what you are referring to now.
During the India vs Australia Test series in January 2021, there were reports that Indian ground staff watered selected patches of the wickets they prepared to make them more suitable for their bowlers. This controversy emerged after the Indian team made a strong comeback to win the series 2-1, following a heavy defeat in the first Test.
However, it is important to note that these allegations were not officially confirmed, and the Indian team and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) denied any wrongdoing. The International Cricket Council (ICC) also did not take any action against the Indian team or the ground staff.
It is worth mentioning that pitch preparation and maintenance is a crucial aspect of cricket, and ground staff are responsible for ensuring that the playing surface is fair and safe for both teams. However, any attempts to manipulate the playing conditions can be considered unethical and against the spirit of the game

We are not pitch docking
We are just rolling one portion of the pitch and watering parts of it that suit us?!
Yep
That’s how you create a fair pitch
Has that ever been done in Aus? Eng? Ever in cricket before?!
It was ridiculous
Want a dry pitch, leave the whole fkn thing dry!…
Nope can’t do that
Because it brings seamers who bowl length into the game due to variable bounce?
It was obvious
They created a pitch for Ashwin and Jadeja
Seems so.
And the ChatGPT output suggests why. It reminds us of Jan 2021, when the Indians were crushed in the first test. The pitch doctoring started big time from the second test. In 2023, they weren't going to make the same mistake again. Right from the get-go, from the first day of the first test, there would be a work of art created by the groundkeepers.
