That is great news. Personally I’d run him in the VFL this week and have him roaring to go against the blues. They’re all huge games.
Membrey that is
Membrey that is

Not quite how it reads. Bytel cleared of serious injury and will have this week off and see if it's 1 week or more after that.

That's how I read it too.
He dodged a long layoff but still will miss at least one game.

Bytel and Membrey both need to pass fitness tests
If they do, they’re available

Deserved a bit of luck
Dropped weight in the preseason and got really fit
Just needs opportunity imo
The recruiting of Crouch has made it hard for him - obviously Crouch is a proven performer
I think he can make it
Maybe somewhere else though?

Good news re Bytel
Possibly play Membrey as the sub?
Pretty handy
How come Coffield is still 6 weeks away with calf strain suffered before the season started??

We don’t have that much midfield depth.

I’d expect Steele to play against Carlton round 6 & Max round 7 barring mishaps.
Not sure about Webster but I hope to hear something at training this morning.

Re: Bytel cleared to play and Membrey a maybe
I wouldn’t have thought Membrey comes in for Caminiti and definitely not for Owens. Maybe sub him in this week.
We have a structure that has worked quite well so far this season, so it’s a matter of how Membrey fits in. I’d expect he’s a lead up third forward, pushing well up the ground. He’s a bit different to Caminiti, who has the makings of a genuine key position player.

Coffield did a hamstring didn’t he? Not a calf.

Saints Facebook now stating Steele will play against Carlton - that seems like a short recuperation period for the injury he sustained.

RTB says Steele will play against Carlton, but Secret_Vortex says he's STILL weeks away, I'm torn...
Don't tell me another one of his conspiracy theories (lying on injury reports to boost memberships / supporter morale) has blown up in his face!

I wouldn’t have been surprised if Jack Steele wasn’t fit for this Sundays game watching him go through a searching fitness test this morning. Billings is not far behind

Going to be interesting as senior players become available there was also another thread hinting that Keelor may debut shortly as well,
