Elbow to the head has to be three weeks. We have them in two so massive for us.

No chance he elbowed a North player in the head. Surely the AFL won’t stick us up.

Not starting a new thread but..
Richmond's Tom Lynch needs to cop a suspension.
Lynch went the bump on Alex Keath and Keath was subbed out in the first quarter with concussion.
I remember in 2020 when Lynch smashed the back of Ben Paton's head with his elbow in our semi final. Ben was so brave to stand his ground. He copped a huge hit which split the skin and had him off the ground for an extended period.
He's a dirty c*** and he's escaped several times by pretending he's clumsy in marking contests

Re: Harry McKay big trouble
There was nothing in the McKay incident. The guy is 6'10 and the other guy is 6'0. A bit clumsy.

Re: Harry McKay big trouble
It’s more clearly cheating in the Saints favor if that were to get two weeks. Is one week at most, hardly any force.

Isn't Harry risking 2 weeks if his appeal gets thrown out. They should give him 3 if he loses the appeal.

Re: Harry McKay big trouble
It was super low impact
If it was one of our guys we would be arguing that they should get off
Reckon he will get off

Re: Harry McKay big trouble
What do you think of Lynch getting away with what he did?
Is the AFL endorsing that a player has no duty of care when they are in the act of running towards a marking contest?
He is a professional athlete who is totally in control of his arms and he knows what he's doing
It gives him a licence to continue crashing into anyone in his way and it doesn't matter whether they get concussed

Re: Harry McKay big trouble
Mckay didn't knock out Sheezle. Sheezle wasn't concussed
With Lynch, I cannot understand how he gets off.
Should Alex Keath have not contested the mark? Should Alex Keath have had his fist out pointed towards Lynch's head to try and 'protect himself'?
Everything we've heard about concussion and all the suspensions in the early rounds are meaningless if they can't be consistent about protecting players

Re: Harry McKay big trouble
If the Neanderthals running the show can get their tiny peanuts around the concept of 'protecting the head' maybe they'll prevent a few extra players getting CTE
...and prevent any future harm to their families (who have to go through it all) and the innocent public who become possible and potential victims

Re: Harry McKay big trouble
The Lynch incident was problematic cause in the end he went past the ball and didn't contest the mark and hit the player with considerable force
If he contested the mark or at least tried to (ie: put his hands up) then 0 weeks
Because he didn't contest the mark then at least 1 week should have been given .... probably 2.
There have now been about 4 incidents that Lynch has been cleared which could have easily drawn a suspension ... same with Crotchin.
I am sure if it was a Saints player they wouldn't be playing this weekend
