yep another champion I was able to watch each week. I remember the skunks were trying to get him at one stage but Dal was a sainter through and through and we loved him for it.

Easy to forget just how great Dal was. I get frustrated when people refer to him as an outside runner. He was courageous and an extremely good tackler. Came runners up in the Brownlow one year i think. Was often heavily tagged which he sometimes struggled with but so do heaps of players. Was also a mark of respect opposing teams had for him too.
