Re: Saturdays game
It's a day before the game and yet if you go to the club web site , there's nothing in the way of a article telling us what happened 150yrs ago on that historic day ,But then again telling a story about a group of middle age straight white men (ahhhh most likely god fearing) sitting around in a pub surely would make the heads explode of those 20something's in our social media department

Re: Saturdays game
More evidence that there's no way Jamarra Ugle-Hagan could have been racially abused by a Saints supporter...

Re: Saturdays game
We are celebrating 150 years, win lose or draw.
Apparently we didn't win our first game, but it's not a re-creation, just another tough match against an opponent that hates us.
It's us against the world, it's our party;
a win would be great but a loss would be just a small footnote to history. GO SAINTERS!

Re: Saturdays game
Like I said,
'We've been waiting 150 years for this'.
In big bold letters, right across the banner, as the boys run through it, and then Essendon.

Barry Breen, on The Front Bar, said in 1873, convicts were still being shipped to WA.
Man, that makes it seem so long ago

Re: Saturdays game
I was sort of half joking before about the lack of a article about what happened 150yrs ago on the club website , BUT REALLY ! Even Im sure Holmsby can cut and paste something he wrote 30yrs ago and post it

Helping cairnsman spend his $10,000 . Money he promised to put on the bar should saints win.
Lets see him wriggle out of that one.

Vortex or cairnsman, yes $10,000 cash on the bar - name the time and the place.
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.
