Everyone will just be having a wild guess, just like you.

Re: Footy tipping first round
a few years ago now a woman at a friends work, who had no idea about football, won the tips. her daughter helped and used the theory if it was 2 animals and they had a fight who would win.
If it was an animal v a non animal animal won
if 2 non animal colours and name she liked best
Good a theory as any i guess

Re: Footy tipping first round
Many years ago I worked in a large office environment. We had a tipping contest with about 150 in it.
A girl from Wales who knew absolutely nothing about the game entered. After two rounds her family moved back to the UK, so she put her tips in for the whole year and we never saw her again. She won by a country mile so the organisers decided to put her winnings on the bar.
One of the biggest and best piss ups I've ever attended!

I've only ever won 1 footy tipping contest and the rules for that were everyone who entered had to tip for the whole year before round 1.Bernard Shakey wrote: ↑Wed 08 Mar 2023 11:55am Many years ago I worked in a large office environment. We had a tipping contest with about 150 in it.

The list changes for 2025 have begun, always an interesting time for an avid supporter.

Re: Footy tipping first round
One workplace comp I was in, the organisers decided on a minor prize for whomever came last, like a consolation prize.
It wasn't much, but I think it was like a full refund for the year.
Better than nothing.
At about mid-year, there were several who were coming last, and 2 or 3 of them decided to only pick outsiders from that point. 'Tanking'.
It was a race to the bottom.
The following year, they deleted the wooden spoon prize.

I think Essendon easy Rubyjo.
My money is already on North but the loss of McKay(?) probably gives the Wet Toast an edge. That said, the Wet Toast play like a eunuch in Melbourne whilst being Rasputin in W.A..
