Re: St Kilda vs Collingwood 2006
I can't believe nobody commented on this.
2006
Round 14
Scott Pendelbury is playing! (We have a player as young that might play ..)
Nathan Buckley is playing! And Robery Harvey.
Grant Thomas about two months left before being fired. And to be replaced by ..YOU KNOW WHO.
Shane Wakelin is there!
We win by ten goals!
Against a good team!
Were we a good team.
THe commentators are saying the Saints were flag faorites at the start of the year!
I didn't watch any footy then, apart from the odd game when I was visiting Melbourne so I would be interested to hear your thoughts about what ou thought of season 2006 .
Were we that good, or bad? What was wrong?

Re: St Kilda vs Collingwood 2006
OK
Was there anything about the coaching on match day that was bad?
We had a tough fixture and we had Fremantle gate? (Or was that another year)
Anyway, the club determined that GT was the wrong man, and honestly, I can’t see where the fault is.
Bad selections? Nope..dunno Rix?
Bad set ups and match plays? Nope
Lack of effort on field? Absolutely not, check out the pressure in our forward line.
Selfishness, playing for themselves? Nope
Bad choice if captain (Ball) Dunno?
I can’t help think it was a general thing.
Riewoldt has his kicking yipped for sure
Kosi ? Where was he at? Obviously injured. Was that the time when he really started to get clobbered? After the shocking concussion?
Well that wouldn’t help, would it? As he was never the same.
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Oh and special mention Joey Montagna. I underrated what a talent and a star he was.
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Noice play shown using this link.
Today's team is nowhere near the class of the 2004-2011 teams.
