What happened to the Analytics Department ?
Was a big investment when Ratts took over.
I believe Covid impacted the budget but is it still a fully funded department and part of RLs repertoire?

Re: What happened to the Analytics Department ?
Misson and Nick Walsh seemed to be all over that during the early preseason.
Both were talking to Coffield and Hayes about the mechanics of their running.
Hayes was encouraged to stride with focus on his glutes and hip flexers as he tends to power with his quads, calves and ankles,
Coffield was the opposite, with powerful glutes, hips and core, he seemed to glide across the grass, while Hayes stomped. It was interesting listening to Misson.

Misson will be an important appointment in the new team. You would think it would take hours of practice to change a players running gait, its big ask.CQ SAINT wrote: ↑Tue 10 Jan 2023 11:37am Misson and Nick Walsh seemed to be all over that during the early preseason.

As far as analysts are concerned stats are relevant, but as Allan Jeans said "there are three phases of footy, we have the ball, the opposition has the ball or we are contesting the ball". Sometimes I think coaches can over complicate their messages and affect players natural games.

Yeah well. That's all they did for the whole of all the sessions I saw. Run, run, run and run.Impatient Sainter wrote: ↑Tue 10 Jan 2023 12:12pmMisson will be an important appointment in the new team.
