Ralph is a try hard, he persists like a tone deaf musician.
The list changes for 2025 have begun, always an interesting time for an avid supporter.

Re: John Ralph, Predicted ladder after first six rounds
I think he's weighted his ladder positions by the anticipated reactions from each supporter base.
Example- I live in Perth, and I guarantee he has upset 75k paid-up WCE members+ the non-paying fanbase.
And sticking the Blues on top, with the Pies at 7th spot?
His editors will be creaming their pants at all the comments on twitter and other social media.

A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.

Re: John Ralph, Predicted ladder after first six rounds
It's an educated guess that is all.
It is also I think a fairly reasonable suggestion that we will only win two of our first six games given who we will be playing.
I actually agree with the two wins though I think they will be Freo and Gold Coast.
We have a new coach who is trying to implement a new gameplan it may take half the season to gel.
We might find Ross goes back to his old style under 12s manic around the ball and everyone else flood back.
If he does that we will probably get beaten consistently in low scoring games.
None of us know.
He may even get us playing expansive attack at all costs where we aim to blow our opposition off the park (unlikely given Ross's history).
The point is at this stage no one knows what is going to happen particularly in a club where there has been such an overhaul like ours.

Re: John Ralph, Predicted ladder after first six rounds
I'd have Gold Coast in the top 4 and I think Carlton will play in the GF against the Lions. Sydney will be the big sliders, I'll be happy if we have won 2 games in the first 6 rounds.

It's that time of the year.
There was also a HS article which had the top AFL sex scandals of 2022.
I really should switch off those news notifications on my phone.

Re: John Ralph, Predicted ladder after first six rounds
It’s pretty reasonable. We have a new coach which means our game plan has now changed and will take time to implement which means the first months of next year will be putting it into practice. We also have lost our main target up forward which isn’t great and no Dan Hannebery so it’s not all bad.
I am looking forward to next second half of next year when things should start gelling

Re: John Ralph, Predicted ladder after first six rounds
I'd be very disappointed if we started the season that poorly. If Ratten was still coach I would agree with his summary but he isnt. Sure King is a loss, but the simple fact that the coaches are pressing the team to go quicker into the F50 will make us much less reliant on Max. All of a sudden we will have movement in F50 zone and leading targets will be the mantra rather than the exception.
What RTB is introducing wont be that hard to implement, so I think people are misguided in thinking it will take time to bed in. It will just be empowering the players to take risk and backing them even if they make mistakes, which I think our group will thrive on. Thats something that Lyon does very well!
