Qualifying day of a sold out Australian Grand Prix, which takes place in our geographical home. Another fixturing masterstroke.

Re: Round 3 home at the G v Bombers
Are people seriously complaining about playing at the MCG?
What next...Whinging about how many games in Tassie or Perth?
Who do we play after the bye? Oh nooo!! It's not Geelong or Brisbane is it?
How many games versus Melbourne, and Sydney?
Can we save energy by just tanking against the strong teams and save our best players for games we have a better chance of beating?

Yep good point
It’s a Shyte show of fixturing for sure
For a major milestone in our 150th year to be given lowly Essendon (who have no meaningful history with us) is just dumb
Amazed that people can’t see the stupidity in that …but then ..not really at the same time..

Don's had their 150th spoilt. Gives them a chance for payback.
That's no chance Bomblets.

Not that these are meaningful but we did play them in the '65 grannie and we were playing them when the lights went out at VFL park and had to play the rest of the game on the Tuesday night (or Wednesday day - whatever day it was). Plus when the 4 Daneher's all played against us at Moorabbin and Phil Carmen headbutting the boundary umpire Carbury.Teflon wrote: ↑Fri 09 Dec 2022 7:27amYep good point

Re: Round 3 home at the G v Bombers
I had a glance at their BF ...about a minute's worth..
My gosh, they are sad. They are broken as a fanbase. Just take a look at their BF. My Essendon-supporting friends/acquaintances were always arrogant pri##ks. But that was 20 -30 years ago. Times have changed. They are battered. The Hird drugs thing...the continued failures..haven't won a final for twenty-odd years.. the underwhelming coach choices. (Let's be honest, they can't have been excited about getting a Scott) ... They have a crap fixture too. How the mighty have fallen. Loads of Sundays. Not as many as us, I guess, but they consider themselves a powerful Melbourne club.
Anyway, they figure they are already gonna have a crappy year. We, on the other hand, are chirpy like the Spring birds.
But..could anyone guess the odds for this match?
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Sounds like an early April Fools Day prank.
Personally couldn’t give a hairy rats ringer who or where.
