Next we hear about your cheekbone symmetry and bionic shoulder?
Don't doubt you kick 50m both legs?
Surprised you haven't been picked up as mature age rookie.

* Leo Connelly impressed again with his speed and ball use
* Hunter Clark seems very determined and working closely with Lenny..has lovely one touch with his ball handling
* Young Hotton didn’t have to do much but his build reminds me of a young Cotchin
* Sharman bigger all over..needed to bulk up!
* Bytel and Byrnes working hard..clean slate with new coaches
* Billings running laps at pace a good sign after his back surgery
* Max doing a lot of set shot goal kicking
* Stocker not there yet..tipping he starts Monday
* Marshall looks a million dollars..big year ahead
* Hayes lots of set shot goal kicking along with Max
* Jones running laps..honestly not sure where he fits
* Owens a beast..gut runs and his tackling is brutal
* Paton looks less hesitant compared to this time last year
* Ross prowling around taking it all in
* BJ very much more than a minor development coach
Sharman - forward or back?
Hayes - can’t afford to be hesitant in his return, he’ll be full on and hard at it.
Stocker - you would have thought he’d be on the track from day 1.
Great opportunity for Bytel, Byrnes & Connolly with the new coaching group.

I'll be very interested to see how Connolly goes under the new coaching regime. Was impressive in the few games he had in 2021, but completely overlooked in 2022 for some reason.
Leg speed and elite disposal are the two major prerequisites of the modern game and he has both. Those attributes shouldn't be wasted.

Ross The Boss said everyone needs to roll up the sleeves.
Our fave ITK says Clark isn't a fan of the gym.
Tones reckons Clark needs to pull his finger out.
Quite a scathing assessement, using the word 'lazy'.
You want Tones to quit and go work elsewhere?

Tomorrow like. Katy Perry song “I’ll do it all again”
Then went to pool for a 2km swim.
Walked from home along the Swan River to Optus Stadium about 4 km, now sitting on my bum until 5.30pm watching the test match between Aus & West Indies. No doubt I’ll stand up & do stretches between overs!!
Then it will be a 4 km walk back from Optus Stadium to home. Ofcourse the hound will be wanting another hour long walk when I get home.
And I’ll rinse & repeat this until the Test match has concluded.

North Melbourne sought Hunter Clark from St Kilda
St Kilda did not entertain the request
Hunter Clark remains on St Kilda’s List
As an observation, Clark is a very highly skilled footballer, proficient off both sides
He has, unfortunately, suffered debilitating head injuries and other injuries over the past couple of seasons
I would expect that given a full pre season and an injury free season he will be a prime mover for St Kilda in 2023
Such is his skill
That it is reported he is working closely with Lenny Hayes can only be a positive

BM overall fitness and dynamic movement are improved by strength training. You are right he doesnt have to bench 120kgs, but he should have the physique to be able to cope with the rigours of the game and the endurance to match. Prior to this preseason he hasnt had that, so lets hope he works on all aspects and reaches his potential, as that is all we are hoping for.

Yep GL a ‘drop in’ that’s taken away the uniqueness of the former WACA wicket. Optus a brilliant footy stadium, but leaves me cold as a cricket venue.Ghost Like wrote: ↑Fri 02 Dec 2022 5:45pmHow do you find Optus Stadium for cricket loris? Do you miss the WACA? The WACA was a true cricket ground. Bowlers had to have skills to bowl at that ground. Not to get too carried away with the bounce. The art of bowling into The Fremantle Doctor when the strong wind blew in. So often the state a game would change when the Doctor blew in. It was a wicket where only batters with skill & good technique could master a bowler.
Optus might be comfortable & have excellent amenities for the spectator, but it sure ain’t a cricket ground.

It’s a fantastic football stadium- amenities for spectators by far the best in Aus. Also a great stadium for major events. However IMHO it’s not a cricket ground - totally devoid of atmosphere and the sameness of a drop in wicket. Unless you are a person fed on hit & giggle Cricket eg T20 and wants noise, disco lights etc, then I s’pose that atmosphere & entertainment.
I much prefer going to the WACA to watch the shield matches

Re: Training report
Out of curiosity, why do you not care whether Hunter embraces the gym or not? This isn’t Gaelic football. He needs to be stronger to absorb the hits and get more power into his game. If he doesn’t want to do the work and I mean all the work, well his time in the game is limited. He’s at the fork in the road. It’s guys like him who we are counting on to take the next step. 23yrs old, 5 years in system, 1st rd draft selection. We have too many ok players who were taken early in draft.
Dare I say it, max king is entering similar territory

Re: Training report
Ever notice how the players that are meticulous in their training, prep and fitness also tend to get injured less.
Bash and crash style players like Hayes, Goddard and Harvey pbly should have had careers riddled with soft tissue injuries, dislocations, hurt from bumps etc.
All 3 highly/remarkably durable.
Have to imagine that fitness and their dedication to perfection, technique etc contributed to it
On Clark… the criticism universally us little to do with ability but rather whether he wants a career like Lenny (which he is capable of) or a career like Billings or Jones where there’s always some problem that stops him from getting close to his potential

Highmore is from the same school as two of my grandsons and Jack Steele is a good mate of two more grandsons. I actually have a standing invitation from Jack to visit him in the rooms after a game.
I don't know how you van justify your ridiculous statement from my comment on said Highmore, ffs.
