Surely he would have known this was in the pipeline. He officially starts on November 1, but really, he would have been involved in in-depth meetings over the past couple of weeks.

More like that they made the decision and then called him and he endorsed it which confirmed it fully
Considering he is coming in as the EGM of Football it would be strange to think he would not have had a say even though they are saying he wasnt part of review process which is technically true
