What an indictment on the football club, absolutely disgraceful.

Not a lot different to Ben McEvoy but then he got a couple of grand final medallions in compensation to the saints methods of informing

Can't read article because of paywall but I do wonder if it's the modern way .
It happened to me !
My work closed due to covid lock down.
Then we went back for just over a month then shut down again . The boss told me he'd keep in touch when we'd reopen . A week before this was due to happen I called him to find out what was what . No answer , Had to leave a voice mail .
A day later I got a text message basically saying he'd call me if needed . I'm still waiting for that call
As I'd been a good worker for him for many years , I was somewhat pissed off that the c u next Tuesday didn't have the decency to speak to me.
Cest la vie .

"Clarke says he reignited his passion for the Saints until years after his departure through St Kilda welfare officer Tony Brown as he developed connections with the likes of Ben Long, Brad Hill and Paddy Ryder."

Re: Raphael Clarke says it took him years to watch AFL again after being delisted by St Kilda by text message
Unfortunately the pattern seems to have endured over an extended period
Schwarze was cut on day one of the pre-season
Jarryd Allen was hurt and cut without the club covering the costs
Luke Ball is well documented
Goddard too appeared to be more sinister and leas about money
Raph by text
Baker was retired by RL
McEvoy was required and called hours before his trade to be moved on
Acres was contacted and told he was being traded as it was happening
Clark and Hill are def required players after they were shopped around for little interest
And Bytel is told he’s getting a 1yr contract after the trade period unless we get something better.
Doesn’t exactly seem like we inspire loyalty

I think I saw an article on Schwarze, not sure if he was misquoted...
But the essence was, he turned up for pre-season training having enjoyed too much Xmas turkey and fruit mince pies, and lacking condition- Lyon looked at him and said 'you're finished' or something

I think it was right after a sprint where he gassed early.WellardSaint wrote: ↑Sat 08 Oct 2022 1:49pm I think I saw an article on Schwarze, not sure if he was misquoted...

I guess RL wanted to send a message but still… running him into the ground for 6 weeks pbly could have achieved the same outcome

Lyon, Rooey, Joey talking about it n laughing the whole time.
Lyon's 1st day.
Ross said 'light run, 20 mins, come back into Linton St'
Joey n Rooey said whole group (minus one) came back (it was easy pace) and 43 guys doing a lap of oval, about to cross finish line, when Troy just entered oval alone, to begin that lap.
Rooey thinking 'he's not well?'
Then later in arvo, doing weights in gym, Schwartz comes into gym, says 'guys, I've been delisted'
The FB post has a post from Troy himself.
'I was pretty upset at the time, Ross just got up and left the meeting'
