If it is true he is even being considered for head coach at Bombers, then he must be highly regarded in the industry. Maybe he knows a bit about coaching. When Ratts couldn't coach for a week this year, Lade was given the job, and delivered a win.
I guess he does meet the only criteria available to some of his detractors on here, in that he has been an assistant coach for a few years now at the Saints, and we have not won a flag or played finals every year, so he must be no good. Same thing happened on here to Adam Kingsley, and he is now head coach at GWS.
Lade may depart the Saints next year, but I hope he doesn't.

Boris did well this year, our defence was not our issue.
Lenny is back so makes sense for Lade to move on and allow fresh IP into a dysfunctioning connect with our forwards.
