I am beginning to believe Curly
Forget about Ryder - that was a lifetime ago - but in the past 2 weeks
Cripps - knocks a guy out - victim cannot play for 2 weeks - he gets off on appeal
Cordy - knocks a guy out off the ball - victim cannot play next week - Tribunal - no weeks
Crouch - late bump - no injury to victim - shakes off the bump - 1 week
WTRF???????

So you want to outlaw shoulder-to-shoulder shepherds now?
Just don't turn around and complain the game has gone soft.

Cripps.....joke
Cordy ......concussion from hitting ground no hit to head.......should not have been charged
Crouch ....unlucky but these days hit the head means trouble
Solicitors and legal people should never be allowed to be part or the system

lol. It doesn't work like that. Hasn't for years. By design.
Not "Simon Templar". He was here first. Please change my username to Bumstead and if possible make me one of those very large sandwiches, thanks!

I agree with all three assessments. The Appeals group (dunno who they are) is either incompetent or corrupt. The other two parts of the process, the initial review and the Tribunal, got it right. Cripps left the ground. Big Carl got 6 weeks for the same thing in 1966.

Re: I am beginning to believe Curly
Cordy got off because he didn’t make contact with his victim’s head. The GWS player got whiplash and also hit his head on the turf
When Paddy was rubbed out for two weeks our legal team were incompetent. Paddy did not make contact with Will Day’s head

No - I want to be Football Relevant - so we do not become the 'example' case
And that is on US to do

Re: I am beginning to believe Curly
The video was courtesy of kosifantutti from the thread at the time Ryder was suspended ( Paddy goes *WHACK* D’oh!)
Look at the down the ground vision and slow it up
Paddy does not make ANY contact with Will’s head.
Will suffers whiplash purely because of his physique. He has a long skinny neck and weak upper body strength

Re: I am beginning to believe Curly
If Cripps was trying to get there for a mark I could almost understand but the ball was punched on and they were not vying for a mark...he decided to bump not tackle and should have gone for weeks - more than 2

Re: I am beginning to believe Curly
Based on the down the ground vision in the second part of the video (including the slow motion replay from goal line-goal line vision), would you say that Paddy Ryder makes contact with the Hawks player’s head?perfectionist wrote: ↑Wed 17 Aug 2022 10:30amI agree with all three assessments.
