For me...
Roll of dice?
Which St Kilda will turn up?
They drive their own cars.

It's a Friday night game. We know what that means.
It'll be horrible

Re: Predictions. St Kilda vs Brsisbane
I'm predicting the result of this game will knock any talk of the Saints playing finals into a cocked hat.
We'll know after tonight that our main interest in September will be word of any retirements or delistings.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Two Teams will take to the field
One will play football - who knows what the other will dish up

As I say most weeks bring our best for 4 quarters we're a chance but most weeks we don't & I'll say the same about tonight's game & if we don't well I think we all know what will happen. Saints by 4 points

Nope - if we win tonight we are still mathematically in the hunt - so we will lose - next week - when we cannot make it to the finals - we will play 4 blinding quarters!bangaulegend wrote: ↑Fri 12 Aug 2022 3:21pm As I say most weeks bring our best for 4 quarters we're a chance but most weeks we don't & I'll say the same about tonight's game & if we don't well I think we all know what will happen. St Kilda will win, and drag our hopes along for another week.
In fact, I can see everything falling our way, then we'll just need to beat Sydney to play finals.... and we won't.

Re: Predictions. St Kilda vs Brsisbane
When I first saw it was a Friday night game I immediately became depressed. Hower, in my tipping I went for Saints by 11 points, but that was just hopeful because my tipping lately has been deplorable.
Re: Predictions. St Kilda vs Brsisbane
Huge responsibility on Marshall, Howard and King.
Apart from that trio, we just do not have any height.
Will need to keep the ball on the ground and control it.
Which itself is a big ask.
Brisbane are by far the more experienced side.

Re: Predictions. St Kilda vs Brsisbane
Skills wise, Brisbane are a class above us.
Effort wise, we should be going at it for 4 quarters tonight.
If we leave anything on the park tonight, then that is an indictment on the playing group. We can't just put in 20 minute burst of scoring tonight.
Can we win? Of course we can.
Will we win? Of course we won't.

When was the last time we got this many prime-time and FTA games?
Would be nice if we were good!

Re: Predictions. St Kilda vs Brsisbane
So where are our like for like with Daniher, Neale, Rich, McCarthy, Zorko, Lyons, Cameron, McInerney, Adams - all well experienced players around whom their younger players perform?
Compared to Brisbane, St Kilda are a developing side.
This and structure are the risks tonight.
Mind you, as I have put elsewhere, we have some serious talent needing only a couple of additions to assist and hasten their development.

Re: Predictions. St Kilda vs Brsisbane
brisbane first half v Richmond and 3/4 v Carlton - we are in real trouble.
Brisbane last qtr v Carlton and 2nd half v Richmond big chance
Typical stkilda thing will be to win and then lose to Sydney next week after Carlton upset collingwood and result doesn't matter anyway
