Maybe it's time for Max to go up on a wing, as he can't for the life of him kick straight, and hasn't really give the scoreboard much of a shake in recent times- get him on the move.

You might recall, Gehrig actually started in the backline with us in Blight’s first year and played a bit all over the place until that famous game in 02 I think against North when he kicked a bag…SAINT-LEE wrote: ↑Sat 06 Aug 2022 11:58am Gehrig was a swinger at West Coast ....he couldn't get into the forward line in '97 so he was a utility, playing on the wing and at times in a forward pocket if he was zoned there...but when he came to St Kilda we slotted him into the forward line and stopped all the swinging and the left the goddarn station.
Saints when you by like 50, North clawed back and got in front before Harvey got it to Gehrig to kick the sealer

Gehrig was an AA half forward in 97
And was at least 10kg lighter, maybe 15
Had elite speed

Cowboy Neale, Barry Breen and not to mention Barks…
Late career fullbacks…. based on experience, footy nous, and Father Time knocking on the door.
But Gehrig, SOS and even Doogs - who refused to cooperate at Port as a part-time forward, had the capacity to do both.
