Colonwood Gifted A Game

Post: # 1972675Post 1965 Saint »

If ever there was a game gifted to a team it was tonight. Three holding the ball decisions resulting in Sh.tPie goals. Not the same paid down the other end. Therein lies the difference. One could be excused for thinking the UMPIRES have been given the nod.

Might have got the rub of the green but hey they gave it a crack never gave in & for what ever reason they won . I hate Collingwood with a passion but we could learn a bit from how they play the game IMO

Haven’t just joined. Been here for years. Musing at all the dickwits. Am I not permitted to express an opinion that the umpires favoured one team without suffering the pathetic response you served up???

They did get the rub but you’d have to admit they played some decent footy had a forward line and transition game that worked
How many of their players pulled off the inside 45 degree kicks with pace
Ours moonball it in …nice n high slow just enough to give opposition a go at it
We are not near them right now that’s for sure
They’re well drilled and they do not give up

Just hope we can play with the same intensity and spirit as the Pies.
They were great tonight

Umpired differently to basically every club. Three holding the balls 10 meters out directly in front keeps your team up. The ball goes down the other end Collingwood given an eternity and not penalised.

Even the attack on Langdon at the first contest was allowed. Clear free just ignored fir the theatre of it.

Don't mind Langdon being monstered, hyphen Bullen steamrolled and to see Brown floundering around trying to get his hands to function below his eye level and Pettracia getting his trash talk right back. The loss will do Melbourne good I fear.
And what do we think about the dob against the Daicos when he tried to thread the needle to a teammate on the curve of the boundary. And isn't it about time Fritsch and Pettracia get pinged htb, they have had so much leeway this season.
Shame they couldn't both loose.

Midfield, Pies in attack, one of the Daicos twins has ball, confronted, tries to grubber through a gap to a couple of team mates ahead but covered. Ball goes towards them but rolls oob. Looked genuine to me, perhaps too clever for the ump.

Both teams are miles ahead of us, the way they play is like chalk and cheese compared to us

Hate both clubs. Watched the Commonwealth games instead. Far more enjoyable and the Aussie usually win their fair share of contests.

Maybe - but in truth - 15.6 won the game over 13.11
