Forgot to add:
'Most finger pointing...
Dougal Howard"
And 'best defender'
I think Wilkie goes to Jeremy Cameron and keeps him under 6 possies, and one goal (the only goal will be a gift from umps- a dubious over-the-shoulder that defies logic)

Sharman to miss a clutch goal and lose us the game and cause the boutique section of our supporter base to demand Ratts sacrifice his life for robbing Sharman of his natural ability to kick clutch goals...while playing in the backline.

Re: Predictions this Round
I'm not sure we have one on our playing list, but we need a sacrificial "lamb" who'll play on the forward line, pretend to punch the ball away but hit the Geelong defender in the head and then knee them in the back as they fall to ground. You know, just like they do.

Brilliant deductions
We crushed Hawthorn mercilessly and they beat Geelong the following week at the same venue. Round 5ish
We beat Freo at their home ground and then Freo went to Kardinia park, missing crucial players, and beat Geelong. Round 7ish

Re: Predictions this Round
A solid performance against a quality team. A loss (which a bottom team would call admirable). Under 4 goal loss at a wet and slippery Kardina park.
Disappointment offset by the end of the round as the tease of finals remains with Port beating Richmond and Carlton losing to Brisbane. (Cant see WB losing to Freo who since the second half against us look shot)

If it's wet it might make the game closer at the end than what it might have been if it were dry.
Anyway, still a yardstick game against the TOP team.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Predictions this Round
We were the last team to beat them this season, albeit at Docklands.
Also let's not forget that we led the pussies by 5 goals early down there late last year.
Even under Richo in his death throws back in 2019 we led them down there by a kick at half time.
So we can compete with them, despite the venue.
I expect a similar performance to 2019.
In the hunt at half time, but class will prevail and the pussies will salute by about 5 goals.
We have a better chance of beating the flaky lions next week.

Re: Predictions this Round
What an awesome exhilarating mess that was .... just non stop bodies flying everywhere ..... umpires letting it go and not paying some obvious frees which would get paid today .... and Winmar with a left foot snap at the endshanegrambeau wrote: ↑Thu 04 Aug 2022 4:37pm Might be corker of a game...

Re: Predictions this Round
Hawkins to kick 4 in a low scoring game. Two of those goals after pushing his opponent in the back and one from a free kick.
Max King to kick 1.4
Higgins to kick 1.2
Ross our highest possession winner with 26
Cats by 19

Re: Predictions this Round
My only reason for 33 pts is our inefficiency in F50 entries.
Not disputing our effort if we're fair dinkum, but our poor choices and execution usually hurt us.
Been that way for years.
Remember Richo at pressers, after we've missed lots of set shots?
Recurring theme.
2020 (IIRC) we seemed to be a lot more accurate than normal.
But that was a weird year.

Re: Predictions this Round
We beat them last time even though Higgins was subbed off and Steele played three quarters with one functioning arm. So it’s got to be possible.
Be positive.
