Seeing Max King free to go up field rather than competing against 2-3 opponents.
Owens was good and is a great size.
Paton playing with confidence
Marshall rucking all day ( Max is actually pretty handy as a ruck in the fwd 50)

Owens was a breath of fresh air.
Gets the fans up and about to see a kid do well in a win. And I thought he added an extra dynamic up forward.
He looks strong, smart and a good decision maker.
Won’t be too long before he and Windhager are midfield fixtures … with NWM on a wing.

Re: Most encouraging thing about this arvo (Sat vs Haw)
The win was the most encouraging thing about yesterday.
We have beaten them twice in a season for the first time since 1992.
We have now beaten them five times in a row since 1967.
Since 2017 we have beaten them 6 times.
It took us eighteen years to win six against them between 1974-1992.
Just like our records against Richmond, Melbourne, and Carlton, it makes me happy to start beating this mob regularly.
Not worried about their junk time goals, St Kilda used to do that back in the 80s too. The win is the thing.

Sharman and Wood both showed a bit too. Loved Long's game as well.bangaulegend wrote: ↑Sun 31 Jul 2022 7:26pm Owens starting to show he is going to be a player, Marshall having a blinder ,Paton getting his mojo back & keeping our finals hope alive
