Re: Sandringham v Port melbourne
8.4= 52 Port to a lousy 5.6=36 to Sandy.
Poor skills and dropped marks kills them everytime. Milne 18 possessions. 15 To Hanners but only 3 kicks 14 to Bytel.

I guess if we are still considering Hannebery as a viable prospect, Stephen Milne shouldn’t be ruled out!
Could we RE rookie him?
Could we RE rookie him?

Has Jones travelled over to Perth?

Re: Sandringham v Port melbourne
f****** disgraceful 19. 9 123 v 10. 12 72
Season on the line and yet get thrashed by a bottom of the ladder team coached incidently by one of our former coaches.
Gone from 6 wins 3 losses and a draw to 7 wins 7 losses and a draw.
Just as bad as their 1st cousins.
Hanners 26 possessions. So only 11 after half time.
Milne 25 possessions, another drop off.
Others not worth mentioning apart from Owens who kicked two goals.
There is a malaise infecting both teams.
Dread watching the seniors this afternoon.

Have we a 4th division side we can drop Jones to.
Allison and Adams are both busts.

Re: Sandringham v Port melbourne
Adam Skrobalak must have known how flaky the Saints listed players are and coached Port accordingly.
Who is Jake Gasper for Port, he kicked 6 goals.
Who was on Gasper, was it Joyce or Highmore, whoever it was leaked like a sieve.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Sandringham v Port melbourne
The Sandringham listed key position players are not even VFL standard. Throw in Allison who is showing absolutely nothing and Adams who's barely played and it's no wonder Sandy is so awful. It has to have the worst talent base in the VFL.

Re: Sandringham v Port melbourne
Just watched the first half of the game. Not invested in the result of the game at all and felt like a loss at half time.
Observations.
Hannerbury: I love this guy, his work in tight is amazing and young players getting to learn from him (like owens) is worth more than what I think a lot of people appreciate. I'm hoping he proves his fitness the back half of this year and is extended on a much cheaper contract.
Owens: Very tough and kicks goals. I'm confident he'll be a 100 game plus afl player, plays on the edge.
Bytel: like hannerbury his work in close is great, still think he'll make it in the end and be a good player for us if his body allows.
Highmore and Joyce: seem too good for VFL but still turn it over and make mistakes, have potential but not sure if they'll cut it at AFL level as we have seen.
Milera: skills are obscene.
Jones: very disappointing, like his recent afl games seems like he is trying hard but in a headless chook sort of way.
Dean Kent: dominates passages of play at VFL level. Feel for him as think he is that player stuck between AFL level and VFL.
of the non saints listed players. Tyson Milne is worth a look.
