Rhys Mathieson
We should go after this bloke in the off-season.
Adding him, De Goey and Amon would change the complexion of our midfield significantly and if we're honest this is where we are deep.
Matho is 26 next year, performs everything he comes into the Brisbane side, has some pace, plenty of toughness and a spark our team could do with more of.
Out of contract at the end of 2023 we may need to trade. I'd happily give up a second or third round pick for him.

Re: Rhys Mathieson
Brisbane hasn't been able to fix his crap disposal skills, especially by foot.
With all the coaching these players get, it's amazing how some of them hang on to their flaws for their whole career.
Seems you can't turn a turd into a polly waffle, no matter how good your development system is.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

No thanks. The last thing we need is another B grade list clogger. To win a flag we need to leap frog the teams above us. Bringing in a guy who isn’t best 22 in one of those teams isn’t going to help us win a flag.

Renowned stager and ball butcher.
Absolutely no.
We’ll probably give up our first pick for him

Re: Rhys Mathieson
Direct replacement for Jones who cannot kick either.
Mathieson body is more reliable and he can win his own footy. Zak jones cannot win his own footy and his aggression is fake.
It needs to happen
