We Will Curb Stomp the Yarraville Poodles 🥾 🐩
I am going out on a limb on here! Sure, we most likely won’t see any action in September, but for love of God, the Floggies of 2022 need to be put to rest. They have been the biggest pretenders this year, by far! How dare they even contemplate making finals after the garbage they have been serving up!
They have virtually no backline. If the lads can bring that same style of game that they brought against Carlton, King should kick 7 goals (heck, he is well overdue for a big bag!)
Sinclair to rack up 40 possessions. Bailey Smith can go back to his Columbian marching powder! And plus, it’ll be payback for when they humiliated us last year.
As the Jiggster would say:
UP THE MIGHTY SAINTS …and to hell with the rest!!

Re: We Will Curb Stomp the Yarraville Poodles 🥾 🐩
I'm with you Sainternist. Having grown up in working class Dogland I have always had more than a passing interest in the Bulldogs. Numerous kids who lived near me or I went to school with went onto to play with the Scraggers. I even lived in Yarraville in the early '80's when it was full of empty shops, far from the gentrified lifestyle village you see today. No Poodles back then just lots of un-cut mongrels that would tear the ass out of the pants of any unwitting passer-by. My big regret was not digging up a deposit for a $40,000 Californian bungalow then! Instead I tired of the Saints regular drubbings and moved bush for work and footy.
The Saints and Dogs have similar histories neither of them flushed with success. Wooden spoons, financial woes and hero worship of champion players have featured strongly and both clubs have supporters who have devoted their lives to their AFL low-achievers.
Both teams have been very disappointing in recent games but the Dogs, despite their talented list, has been consistently disappointing all season. If the introverted Saintsturn up tonight we will be thrashed. If we display our Dr Jeckyl side I suspect the Dogs will wilt in the second half as they have done recently. I've forked out a ridiculous amount to travel down for the game tonight. Hopefully I will catch up with some old school mates, all Bulldog tragics. At least the only premiership they've seen their team win is still fresh in their memories. Mine, unfortunately, are fading over time.

After the losses to ess and syd it’s hard to take the side seriously so I won’t be investing any false hope into tonight’s game
I’m prepared for a loss

It seems like some on this thread forgot they were Saints supporters and got all optimistic.
Let that be a lesson.
Let that be a lesson.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?
