VFL Sandringham vs Bulldogs
Now watching the VFL the same issues as we see from the AFL team.
Sandringham are getting touched up aroud the ball and again Batchelor is using the same players. Lok is a proven midfielder hasnt had a run up the ground. Paton and Connolly were a midfielders as juniors WTF dont they try different players through the middle???
On a more positive note Sharman is doing well at CHB. Byrnes also doing well, has a red hot go no matter where he is playing.
Once again the umpiring has been very very ordinary! Bulldogs have 3 goals from soft nothing free kicks.

Re: VFL Sandringham vs Bulldogs
Commentary has mentioned we are being reamed by the umpires. Not that we needed to be told it’s that obvious.

Just getting us used to next Friday, not that it should come as a surprise against the Doggies.

Re: VFL Sandringham vs Bulldogs
Half time and Sandi trail by 3 points but Bulldogs looking like a better drilled side.
Connolly & Paton busy in defence and getting plenty of the ball but would like to see them pushed up the ground.
Campbell is a goliath at VFL just so reliable.
Byrnes is our only midfield winner plus kicked a nice goal, but the Dogs mids well on top.
Again we have no one to kick to forward and Batchelor has Lienert hardly touching the ball playing on smalls in defence. I have said it before but Allison has no basic footballing instincts, if he cant get a touch running past a team mate he is the invisible man.
Its like any coach involved with St Kilda ATM have their players names super glued to the team board and completely ignore the flow of the games?

Re: VFL Sandringham vs Bulldogs
Viewing game a bit differently to some above:
WB have a better side on the park re AFL experience, 3 pts down at the half a great effort
Lienert doing a good job on Bruce ( giving up size).
Brynes looks a level above this perhaps needs to be given a few games at AFL level with specific role.
Connolly and Paton working into the game.
Peris showing a little bit

Allison to his credit has lifted this quarter and done a couple of nice things.
Its the 3rd quarter and I only just realised Long is playing.

Re: VFL Sandringham vs Bulldogs
Lok into the middle now, but so is Peris who is getting a lesson from Sullivan.
Its a repeat of last night, run it out to the wing and then bomb it forward, but again being constantly out marked.
I thought Batchelor was an OK VFL coach, but after watching todays game he has been Rattenified.
Dogs completly on top in the 3rd and remainder of the game will be damage control. 73 Dogs to 35 Sandi.

Re: VFL Sandringham vs Bulldogs
Talent took over in the last 5 minutes or so there. Lot more AFL listed WB players , including guys like Bruce, Cordy, Sweet.
What was disappointing is lack of "leadership" by our guys with AFL experience.
to me Brynes only one i am looking at as an in after last night based on performance

Re: VFL Sandringham vs Bulldogs
3 Qtr Time
Sandy 5-5-35 v Dogs 9-13-67
Sandy kicked 1 goal 1 in the 3rd, Dogs kicked 5 goals 6.
A poor 3rd quarter by the Saints affiliate.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: VFL Sandringham vs Bulldogs
What's interesting is in the team line ups i counted 11 AFL listed players for each team, you wouldn't think that watching the game.

Re: VFL Sandringham vs Bulldogs
Surely our coaches are watching this game thinking Sandringham have no quality midfielders. WTF do St Kilda pidgeon hole players constantly.
What better way to free a quality AFL back pocket in Paton than to play him on the ball. FFS they may even find he can play as another midfield option.
Take the f....n blinkers off you pack of moronic fools!

Re: VFL Sandringham vs Bulldogs
Final Score
Sandy 6-6-42 v Dogs 13-18-96
Unlikely any Sandy Saints players will play against the Dogs this week.

Re: VFL Sandringham vs Bulldogs
We get concerned about the development of our younger players, but the appalling quality of the VFL listed players at Sandringham is not helpful at all. They really are terrible
