Also we've been handed favours in this draw, like playing Brisbane off a bye while they're off 6 days and playing in Perth, and playing a rubbish teams like Essendon, and we haven't taken advantage of these and have no one to blame (although the excuses makers always try to find something) but ourselves.
Yep massive favours. Was that game v Brisbane at Marvel?
No, that's in round 22.

Though I understand 'fair' in your book would mean playing them in Melbourne both times.
So it was hardly a huge advantage was it.
Considering you frequently imply having one day less to prepare is basically an insurmountable obstacle to overcome and blatant cheating against us by the AFL...

I'd say it would be some advantage by that measure!

Mind you, if we beat West Coast in Perth (as we should) we'll be 4-2 away interstate this year.

What ever way we look at it…

What ever the agenda….

It is remarkable that. Oollingwood have not been to Kardinai Park this centrury.

And neither did Carlton, for twenty seasons straight….1998-2017.

And?

We play them twice, once at our home ground, once at theirs. The advantage/disadvantage goes both ways.

That's how the draw works, you play 11 home games and 11 away games, with the home team having the advantage of playing at their home ground (not sure how much you know about AFL)

We play 12 games at our home ground this year, Geelong play 9 at theirs, tell me how that is fair?

we play 8 games out of melbourne, we play 3 of last years finalists twice, we have what was rated as the hardest draw of any team outside the eight and harder than four of last years finalists. so yes, it's a hard draw - which is par for the course for us. now xenocentrists who excuse the afl's bias against the smaller clubs may not care, but they are wrong to suggest our draw does not disadvantage us. in a close race for a finals berth the difference is likely to come down to such factors. you can point to upsets as our downfall, but these are balanced by the teams we upset.
as for soft draw premiers, well richmond in 2017 finished below both geelong and adelaide yet played both their finals at home against them, so there's that.

Nathan Buckley on SEN said today the trip to Geelong is the hardest match to win. Surely if you never travel there it’s an advantage over teams that do.

Only morons think other wise. Old Denial Dud continues to prove he is that.

So are Collingwood advantaged by not going to Geelong or are Geelong disadvantaged by not getting to play Collingwood at their home ground.

I’m getting confused at who the AFL is supporting and cheating against.

Obviously they are cheating against Geelong in favor of Collingwood, but then they favor Geelong to cheat against us.

Perhaps Curly can structure a cheating matrix.
Who gets priority favoritism.

ie. Collingwood over Geelong, but Geelong over Saints.
I think we need saintdad on this.
