I was more impressed when he said the small forwards have been sh*t the last few weeks

Re: Hannebery to play next week
It'll be good to see Hanners play a few farewell games.
Unless the new CEO re-signs him for a few more years at season's end.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Hannebery to play next week
He will take a very good player in any game he plays for us. That is his true value for us now. The opposition cannot afford to take him lightly.

Re: Hannebery to play next week
At a guess you'd think at least 3 to 4 weeks.
The club has timed it perfectly again for him to be ready for finals.

With all due respect samurai, the gun player you refer to is not necessarily the current Dan Hannebery other than by name.samuraisaint wrote: ↑Sat 02 Jul 2022 12:33amHe will take a very good player in any game he plays for us. He may be ok, the game may have gone by him, we don’t know. He has played 15 average games for us in three years (way over rated in his finals appearance against the Dogs), so what makes you think he’ll be of concern to any opponent?
I hope he comes in on fire but my belief is he will struggle with the pace of the game. Soft tissue injuries, time on the side lines and age are not a great mix.

Would have to get thru a couple of games at Sandy first.

This surely has to be his “last roll of the dice”.D.B.Cooper wrote: ↑Sat 02 Jul 2022 10:53amWith all due respect samurai, the gun player you refer to is not necessarily the current Dan Hannebery other than by name.samuraisaint wrote: ↑Sat 02 Jul 2022 12:33amHe will take a very good player in any game he plays for us. I have a feeling he’ll play on next season too.

In the word of one of our finest, The Fireman, I'm "torn". If he gets back on an AFL paddock then kudos for perseverance. Sadly that's not a 2015 AFL paddock.
After watching Windhager last night, I hope Dan's return is not at his expense.

Yeah saw that last night straight from the horses mouth. Would have to play a full game at Sandy even players who have missed a couple of months are rusty and have to adjust to speed of game
