How does Wood get 13 touches with the Zebs and get promoted.
Prefer Byrnes staying- he wasn't our worst.
Byrnes got 9 kicks, 8 handballs.
Butler - 4 kicks, 1 h/b
Z Jones- 9 and 10 (but got himself tied up trying to take on 3)

Butler keeps his spot.
While I’m not opposed to Long’s omission, he’s given 1000% more than Butler this season.

Of Butler's 4 kicks, how many were funny party tricks that a player would try at training after everything is packed up?

When we play well we have runners on the wing like DMac and Wood, we've been unable to move the ball quickly this past few weeks without them, whilst Wood didn't play well last week it makes sense to bring him back and see if he can return to that career best form he was in for fhe first 6 weeks when his improvement was up 55%. He was flying through that period so if he can reproduce thst then its a bonus.

Re: Saints v Bluescum Team Line Ups + Ins & Outs
What’s the obsession with Highmore? He’s okay but hardly someone we desperately need in the team.
Some of Long’s fwd 50 attempts were laughable. Almost park footy like or an Irishman learning the game. Terrible.
Sharman, despite some on here obsession with him, just no where near the level. Had to go.
Would have kept Byrnes myself. Not sure we need Butler and Higgins in the same team. Both too inflexible

Sharman was flying against the Swans but the selectors obviously thought he looked more like a kite than a footballer so he's dropped again.Vortex wrote: ↑Thu 30 Jun 2022 7:51pm When we play well we have runners on the wing like DMac and Wood, we've been unable to move the ball quickly this past few weeks without them, whilst Wood didn't play well last week it makes sense to bring him back and see if he can return to that career best form he was in for fhe first 6 weeks when his improvement was up 55%. Sandy has the bye this week so no match practice for the surplus.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

How the eff do you justify Butler staying in the side?
Brett Ratten obsession with his bomb to small forwards game plan??
Absolute joke
Wood was poor in the twos and comes in?

I'm not sure Sharman is ready for AFL just yet, would have crucified him on a Friday night game and possibly destroyed his confidence.Wayne42 wrote: ↑Thu 30 Jun 2022 7:59pmSharman was flying against the Swans but the selectors obviously thought he looked more like a kite than a footballer so he's dropped again.Vortex wrote: ↑Thu 30 Jun 2022 7:51pm When we play well we have runners on the wing like DMac and Wood, we've been unable to move the ball quickly this past few weeks without them, whilst Wood didn't play well last week it makes sense to bring him back and see if he can return to that career best form he was in for fhe first 6 weeks when his improvement was up 55%. Re: Saints v Bluescum Team Line Ups + Ins & Outs
The only Sandringham player that deserved a promotion after last week was Highmore and he was again over looked?
Its hard to make reasoned changes when an entire club is out of form. Im astounded that any football club can publicly back a coaching group, after what they have served up in the past 6 weeks?
Prediction is Carlton win by 45 points - McKay & Curnow to kick 10 between them.

Butler over Long gee Ratt's must love Butler ,Wood couple of poor games got dropped played ordinary in both his VFL games & gets a recall & Highmore well I think he will go at seasons end they obviously don't think he has what it takes so why keep him & I'm sure he will get a contract with another AFL club . Another poor showing & supporters will be in their rights ask do the people in charge really know what their doing ? I suppose it's wait & see maybe they do

Crucifying him on a Sat night where the coach said delivery to the forward line was so bad Lockett wouldn’t get a kick???
Dropping him next game ??
There’s that clear logic again……

Higgins was pretty bland at Sandy, but somehow gets a game, same for Wood, but no more tricks up Ratten's sleeve. I expect Ross or Butler to play in the ruck, maybe Paddy on a wing.. Highmore is a bit stiff and I hope he gets the medi sub job.

Sharman is clearly not ready, nothing wrong with the club using the VFL to develop him.Teflon wrote: ↑Thu 30 Jun 2022 8:20pmAs opposed to flying him to SydneyVortex wrote: ↑Thu 30 Jun 2022 8:06pmI'm not sure Sharman is ready for AFL just yet, would have crucified him on a Friday night game and possibly destroyed his confidence.Wayne42 wrote: ↑Thu 30 Jun 2022 7:59pmSharman was flying against the Swans but the selectors obviously thought he looked more like a kite than a footballer so he's dropped again.Vortex wrote: ↑Thu 30 Jun 2022 7:51pm When we play well we have runners on the wing like DMac and Wood, we've been unable to move the ball quickly this past few weeks without them, whilst Wood didn't play well last week it makes sense to bring him back and see if he can return to that career best form he was in for fhe first 6 weeks when his improvement was up 55%. Last chance saloon for Jones?
Butler: why, Is it Saad's birthday?
What now for Paton
and Sharman.
Owens & Mackenzie back next week?
Hope the whole group finds form.

Yep, this! Sharman to Sydney (as the 2nd ruck) against an established, well oiled defence plus two rucks who have some fair experience. Now Carlton, a makeshift defence and a patched up ruck division - dropped!Teflon wrote: ↑Thu 30 Jun 2022 8:20pmAs opposed to flying him to SydneyVortex wrote: ↑Thu 30 Jun 2022 8:06pmI'm not sure Sharman is ready for AFL just yet, would have crucified him on a Friday night game and possibly destroyed his confidence.Wayne42 wrote: ↑Thu 30 Jun 2022 7:59pmSharman was flying against the Swans but the selectors obviously thought he looked more like a kite than a footballer so he's dropped again.Vortex wrote: ↑Thu 30 Jun 2022 7:51pm When we play well we have runners on the wing like DMac and Wood, we've been unable to move the ball quickly this past few weeks without them, whilst Wood didn't play well last week it makes sense to bring him back and see if he can return to that career best form he was in for fhe first 6 weeks when his improvement was up 55%. Paton is the one that surprises me. Hill, Sinclair, Webster & our other defenders will miss how hard he works back to cover that last line, picking up other defender's forwards.

If you perform at VFL level you should be given the opportunity.

Once again we return to 2 permanent tall marking forward set up (doesn't include resting ruck) when every other side go with 3 ....and likely Membrey won't stay permanently forward ..... so down to 1 at times .... unless they are considering Wood permanent forward ...... but who the fk knows what they are thinking
And Butler stays in ..... seriously fk me dead
Out comes a backline stopper in Paton and replaced with ...... no like for like replacement
Not sure what drugs the selection committee are on but I want none of it

I heard Highmore’s manager is an ABBA geek.
Favorite song, “Ring, Ring, Why don’t you give me a call?”
….happiest sound of them all.

Far better to crucify week on week off
Like a yo yo bring in him …whole team Shyte…drop him…replace with poor performers from VFL and a forward line set up that tried 2 weeks ago and failed…
Top selection theory that..
