Re: Swans v sandy
Sandringham looking ordinary midway through the 2nd.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Re: Swans v sandy
An undermanned Sandringham side - no midfield apart from Campbell. Joel Amartey goes ok as a tall forward/ruckman, I wonder how long he is contracted for at the Swans?

Re: Swans v sandy
Well. The umpiring was pretty poor but it was the most entertaining thing about that game.
I reckon Peris might make it though. Time to put him on the ball, I reckon, he's pretty handy around a stoppage.
Highmore was fantastic as an interceptor, I think his opponent kicked 5 goals though.

Re: Swans v sandy
I think they moved Highmore off Amartey after he kicked his 4th goal.
Campbell was the best ruckman on the ground, the rest of the Sandy players, meh.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Swans v sandy
Apart from Highmore & Campbell there was noone else belting the door down. Highmore had 4 kicked on him but was still good.
I agree with CQ - Peris is going to make it as a player, he has plenty to work with.
Higgins was better in the 2nd half, but didnt look dangerous.
Wood quiet.
Connolly, Heath very quite.
Allison even quiter and so it continues.
Kent is the laziest footballer on an AFL list, bottom of the list.
Amartey would be worth extracting from Sydney!

Re: Swans v sandy
Book mark that remark BM and come back in a couple of years.
Yeah he only had 10 touches but he is an 18 yo 60kg kid playing against much larger bodies. When he is bigger and stronger, his speed and attack on the ball will be a weapon. That plus his willingness to work without the footy, put his head over the ball and tackle will see him suceed IMO.

Highmore our best by a mile time to give him a go ridiculous that he hasn't been given a game this year so far IMO anyway

Re: Swans v sandy
Highmore our best but he was beaten by his opponent and moved off him?
A highly unorthodox BOG performance, I must say.

Re: Swans v sandy
They simply have to bring Highmore into the team this week, to reward his efforts and bring some positivity to the group. Have Wilkie play on a small and Highmore take his role. I would drop Howard but it seems thats not going to happen so perhaps its time for Paton or Webster to be given a rest, neither are in great form.saynta wrote: ↑Tue 28 Jun 2022 1:59pm Swans a cut above but Highmore our best.
