Ladder drop
Pies beat Giants.
Bulldogs beat Hawks.
We'll drop to 10th spot and won't recover from there.
The only certain win is in Perth on 24 July, and even that one is dicey

Re: Ladder drop
a dicey certainty? i think we're certainly dicey. always said making the eight would be a good result given our draw. amazing how our draw is continually harder than our position warranted. a hit like our games are wedged in as an after thought once the afl and the bigger clubs are happy with their lot.

Re: Ladder drop
There are some big games next week, where a win can lift us up a couple of spots, or down and out of the 8.
We will see if Friday night was a glitch, or the beginning of a very disappointing 2nd half of the season.
We could win most games from here until the end and just as likely win none.
Isn't it fun being a St.Kilda supporter.

It is but when you can’t beat a bottom 2 side on your home deck in a club milestone game does it really matter ???SaintPav wrote: ↑Sun 19 Jun 2022 7:04pmYep. RidiculousWaltzing St Kilda wrote: ↑Sun 19 Jun 2022 5:40pm Another plane trip next week as the Pies enjoy yet another game at the G.

Re: Ladder drop
Bulldogs are 2% lower than us.
A loss to Swans by more than 5 goals, and they beat Hawks by more than 5, and we drop to 10th.
Think about it

The WCE coach was on Ch7 Perth a few nights ago, talkin about his broken ribs, and wasn't sure whether he'd be right before rd 23.
I really hope we can win here in Perth, only cos I haven't seen many wins in Perth

Re: Ladder drop
I think our good wins this yr came from our guys playing outta their skins.bangaulegend wrote: ↑Wed 22 Jun 2022 7:32pmFair call I can't see us finishing any higher on current form anyway
Maybe they realised just what's required to win, and they've dropped back to their comfort zone of ignoring team-first.
It's all too hard.

Re: Ladder drop
At least they are bringing us down one or two rungs at a time. From the short time up high though the Essendon episode felt like it was the ladder giving way, paint falling, losing the brush and the tarp dragging away - with a major clean up required. But perhaps it was just one of those step backwards we always seem to have/need.
