The Max King in the room

Post: # 1961219Post Bruce G McAbee »

Is Max King living up to expectations to everyone?
He has now played 50 games but I am finding him still very inconsistent and not demanding the ball like good forwards do.
Don't get me wrong, he is super talented but his potential has yet to be realised. Wayne Carey wrote an interesting article on him and I'm afraid I have to agree with him on a few of the points he makes.
The club desperately needs to get Roo down to the club for some tuition on how to become a great forward that he should be by now.

Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Doesn’t appear to have any leading patterns
That said when the ball transition from defence to forward 50 so poor (we are bottom 4 in AFL for this) what do you expect??
Lade anyone??
Good choice Brett

Is Lade the last of or part of the Richo hangover? i.e. Contracted.

King doesn't lead but that's as much to do with his fellow forwards as it is with him. People talk of a team defence, something we appear to have improved on but we definitely are void of a team offence.

Not sure re Lade didn’t read/hear great things and apparently Tigers happy to see him go - the new John Barker me thinks
The Geelong guy whose looking after our defence has made a difference
Team defence is hit n miss
Next week will be great
Week or 2 later suspect again
Good sides coached well with good personnel don’t do that
