Re: Jordan De Goey UFA???
In a heartbeat
At the cost of No draft picks - why not?!
Would you rather Hannebery or DeGoey on 800?
He is a point of difference Mid/Fwd at 190cm and 90kg with explosive power
Now we haven’t got Ben King to recruit as a point of difference- we need another
DeGoey is never going to be the type of player to win a B&F - but exactly the sort of player to win a Norm Smith

We shouldn't offer him more than what Seb Ross is getting.

With all due respect to Seb…he’s not in De Goey’s league.

Re: Jordan De Goey UFA???
Moneyball is a system based purely on statiscs...let say Joe Blogs is an average midfielder with 0.5 goals per game, BUT in games vs. teams who have an 80% win ratio he scored 3 goals AVG, you'd draft or trade for him and he'd play only in games against these type teams.WellardSaint wrote: ↑Sat 14 May 2022 2:41am Getting him would be against the moneyball story.
He's gonna be highly paid.
I thought Moneyball was about guys who weren't big stars on big coin, but would complement the other guys
The whole team is constructed thusly.. .no 'permanent starting 22" but a rotation of players based on their ability to perform in certain games against certain teams ( e.g. Kent always had his best game of the season against Demons ....so why'd he see it out?)

Re: Jordan De Goey UFA???
If we are able to get both Amon and De Goey as UFA's this year it would be a masterstroke. We would have a best 30 let alone best 22.
St Kilda should never trade with Essendon and Sydney ever again!!!

De Goey could be the player that makes us a premiership team. He has talent to burn as long as we can keep him on the straight and narrow!!!

Re: Jordan De Goey UFA???
I doubt he will leave the Pies and I dont believe he is the super star the media make him out to be. But if he did want to come across you would have to look at it and make sure there are plenty of 'behavioural' clauses in his contract. The other concern is what message recruiting him would send to other players at the club - you would want the entire club & playing group onside before signing him.,

Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

Agree it just highlights what a fwyt this guy is. His manager is out there trying to get him a pay rise and he is off mid season holidaying in Bali acting inappropriately towards women again.happy feet wrote: ↑Fri 17 Jun 2022 7:22pm This is why we don’t want De Goey

The guy is a grub and I am now convinced we should go no where near him.

The Collingwobblers must be nervous at the moment, let's hope the buffoon sees out his career at the Pies.Impatient Sainter wrote: ↑Fri 17 Jun 2022 7:46pmAgree it just highlights what a fwyt this guy is. The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

The guy is a complete tool
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.
