Re: Troy's unbelievable goal
What a great goal from an unsung hero. I always liked Troy for his honesty and endeavour, a guy who got the most out of his talent. I can still remember with horror that section of the crowd who booed him when he went to collect his winners medal after the 2004 Wizard Cup GF win over the Cats.
St Kilda forever ( God help me)

Re: Troy's unbelievable goal
Never criticize a goal umpire.!!!
That Aussie J ‘point’....!
Troy played 70 odd games and got the chop when Ross came on board.
But how about season 2004??
The first time in many of our lives, the see the read, white and black successful!
We went 10-0, then in true St Kilda fashion, 1-4, before finishing 5-2. And we were on a role.
The magic of the GT era and the exciting new talent.
Brissy fixed us up to the tune of 45 up at the Gabba late in the season, but surely this was St Kilda at its best!
Of course 2009/10 was brilliant too…but can’t match the ‘Wow’ effect of 2004.
Troy coached at 24 years of age. Had the head of a man.

Yeah, it’s such an American thing to do, too. U.S. sports fans are so fickle. When their teams win, they worship them, and when they lose they basically disown them. We really don’t need to be like America!
