Half time scores
Sharks 8-7-55 v Sandy 4-6-30, a late goal to Billings.

Best so far, at least by possessions, are Clark and Billings.

Billings looks very slow although it's a very slow moving game. NWM, Leinart and Highmore not playing

Gee it looks like Billings is going to be playing at Sandy for a while. Does this mean he's taken his demotion badly?

Why do you think he’s going to be playing there for a while? If the bookies are correct that we’ve got no chance tonight, I would expect Billings to come straight back in against the Bombers.

If we win tonight, then that’s a different story.

What are you watching? A replay of the game against the Crows? Billings seems to me to be going ok today.

Sharman responded well to his omission.

Billings didn't drop his head and played well, working on being that conduit between defence and attack.

Clark did well I thought but more in desperate need of games continuity.

Byrnes just tries and tries, was down today.

All in a side that really did get smashed.

Clearly Sandy's best player with over 30 possessions. Will be back in the firsts next week v Druggies.

I think the answer to your question is in your counter statements, you expect Billings to be an automatic selection on the basis we lose, but if we win you don't expect him to be an automatic selection.

He's a DP3 with 8 seasons of experience and he can't push past a bunch of kids with under 10 games and whilst he's possibly made it into the best from today's game, he still isn't convincing.

I'd love for him to get back into the side and play like a DP3 consistently every week but I think the coaches have lost patience with him. I hope he proves me wrong.
